Biography

Xueqi (Shirley) is a research specialist and lab manager in Prof. Selina Wang’s group. Her main research areas are olive oil chemistry, underutilized crops assessment and agricultural byproduct upcycling. She works very closely with undergraduate student researchers and industrial collaborators. Xueqi has been serving as a professional olive oil taster at the Applied Sensory olive oil taste panel since 2017. She has also been an active volunteer at a local animal shelter for years.
