Peer advisors are current students in Food Science major who are professionally trained to advise students and share their own personal knowledge and experiences with the major. Peer advisors can assist students with:
  • General course planning
  • Study tips and strategies
  • Advising technology (OASIS, Schedule Builder, MyDegree, MyUCDavis, Canvas, General Catalog)
  • Specific questions about the content, structure, or demand of required courses
  • Major related clubs and organizations
  • Referrals to staff/faculty advisors and campus resources

FST Faculty Advisors

Faculty Advisors are professors and experts in their field of study; they provide in-depth information about the curriculum, career pathways, graduate school, and academic research. 

Every student in the Food Science major is assigned to their own Faculty Advisor. Student assignments are determined by the Lead Faculty Advisor and Staff Advisor. To find your Faculty Advisor, email fstadvising@ucdavis.edu
