Individual course plans and recommendations may differ from student to student depending on transfer credit, AP/IB exam scores, workload preference, study abroad, and summer session enrollment. 

Fall Quarter (13-14 Units)

  • General Chemistry: CHE 002A - 5 units
  • Calculus: MAT 017A - 4 units
  • CA&ES English Requirement (Example: UWP 001) - 4 units
  • Career Discovery Group (CDG) or First-Year Seminar - 1 unit

Winter Quarter (15-16 Units)

  • General Chemistry: CHE 002B - 5 units
  • Calculus: MAT 017B - 4 units
  • Nutrition: NUT 010 or NUT 010V - 3 units
  • GE Course - 4 units

Spring Quarter (15-16 Units)

  • General Chemistry: CHE 002C - 5 units
  • Calculus: MAT 017C - 4 units
  • Statistics: STA 013 - 4 units
  • GE Course - 3 units

General Education (GE) Requirements

Students can view GE requirements in the UC Davis General Catalog and check their progress toward GE completion in MyDegree. For inquiries related to the GE requirement, please consult your College Advising Dean's Office for assistance. 

Placement Exams & Charts

Advance Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) credit will apply toward the minimum 180 unit requirement for a bachelor's degree; however, credit cannot be used to satisfy GE requirements. Depending on the score, AP/IB credit may be equivalent to some lower-division courses at UC Davis.
