Aaron Uesugi is a Principal Scientist at Mondelez International. He serves as the Global Food Safety Subject Matter Expert for biological hazards. From 2010 to 2021, Dr. Uesugi was a Food Safety Manager at Kraft Foods/Kraft Heinz where he oversaw food safety from R&D through manufacturing across an extensive portfolio of products including snack nuts (peanuts/treenuts, nut butters), beverages (ready-to-drink, powdered, coffee, liquid concentrates), desserts (frozen, refrigerated, shelf stable), confections, and meals (frozen, refrigerated, shelf stable).
Aaron is originally from the SF Bay Area, growing up in Pacifica, CA. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Food Science and Technology from the University of California, Davis and a Doctorate in Food Science from Cornell University.
