Professor Merson retired in 1974. 

Dr. Larry Merson had a 90% Food Science and Technology / 10% Bio and Ag Engineering appointment.  Topics that he worked on were:  The application of chemical engineering to food processing; heat and mass transfer; heat sterilization process design; heat resistance of microorganisms and enzymes; design and scale up of separation methods; membrane processes; crystallization.  You can find his publications under the author name "R.
