Zhengyao (Zeya) Xue

Zeya graduated from Nanjing University in China with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences and continues her studies in the Food Science and Technology Department of UC Davis with a focus on food microbiology. She is currently doing research on Lactobacillus casei, a popular probiotic strain with a closer look at its transcript level in various matrixes. She is mostly interested in a career related to ensuring food safety for the public which can be either quality control of existing foods or research and development of new foods.
