Dr. Diane Barrett

Cooperate Extension Specialist, Dr. Diane Barrett has been chosen as the 2009 IFT Fruit and Vegetable Product Division's  Member of the Year Award.  The award was given for continued support of the Division, as a Division Officer, Member-at-Large and All-Around Supporter.

Dr. Barrett's research activities focus on the effects of raw materials and processing conditions on the qulity of fruit and vegetable products with an ultimate goal of optimizing the quality of processed fruit and vegetable products.  She also directs the Center for Fruit & Vegetable Quality within the Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine & Food Sciences, and the Center for Advanced Processing & Packaging.
